Neurotology
Pulsatile tinnitus and sigmoid sinus resurfacing
Pulsatile tinnitus is a rhythmic sound in the ear that keeps time with the heartbeat. Unlike ordinary tinnitus, it often has a physical cause. She studies high-resolution CT of the temporal bone and vascular imaging to find defects such as sigmoid sinus dehiscence, a gap in the bone over a large vein behind the ear.
She repairs the defect with a layered reconstruction of soft-tissue graft, bone cement and bone paste. In a case reported by the Times of India, a woman who had heard her pulse for four years was free of the sound after a three-hour operation. She presented this work at ISOCON 2026.
Implant otology
Cochlear implants, BAHA and stapes surgery
She manages the whole cochlear implant journey: hearing and imaging assessment, surgery, and coordination of device programming and auditory-verbal therapy with audiologists and speech therapists. Neural response telemetry during surgery confirms the electrode is working before the operation ends.
She places bone-anchored hearing aids for conductive and mixed hearing loss and single-sided deafness, and performs stapedotomy for otosclerosis, placing a micro-prosthesis to restore movement of the hearing bones.
Endoscopic ear surgery
Surgery through the ear canal
High-definition endoscopes let her see around corners inside the middle ear and operate through the natural ear canal, often without a cut behind the ear.
- Tympanoplasty: repair of eardrum perforations with cartilage or temporalis fascia grafts
- Ossiculoplasty: rebuilding the hearing bones with titanium prostheses
- Cholesteatoma: clearing disease from hidden recesses such as the sinus tympani, lowering the risk of recurrence
Rhinology & skull base
Endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery
For chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps that do not settle with medicines, she performs functional endoscopic sinus surgery, removing only diseased tissue and blockages and preserving healthy lining, with no cut on the face. Most patients are back to normal life within days.
She also performs endoscopic skull base repair, CSF leak repair and endoscopic DCR for a watering eye caused by a blocked tear duct.
Sleep medicine
Snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea
Holding a sleep apnoea certification, she uses overnight sleep studies and drug-induced sleep endoscopy to grade severity and find exactly where the airway collapses. Treatment is tailored: lifestyle changes, CPAP or BiPAP optimisation, and surgery such as septoplasty, turbinoplasty and multilevel palatal surgery when the anatomy needs correcting.
Laryngology
Voice and airway
In her voice and airway clinic she uses videostroboscopy and flexible fibre-optic laryngoscopy to study vocal cord movement in detail. When voice therapy is not enough, she removes nodules, polyps and cysts by microlaryngeal surgery and manages narrowing of the airway.
Children
Paediatric ENT
Parents value her gentle, patient manner with children. She treats recurrent ear infections and glue ear with grommets, and enlarged adenoids and tonsils that cause mouth breathing, poor sleep or speech delay, using coblation for less bleeding and pain and a quicker return to normal eating and play.
As part of the Artemis paediatric airway team, she is involved in complex cases such as airway lymphatic malformations that need staged microlaryngoscopy before a child's tracheostomy tube can be removed.
Head & neck
Thyroid, salivary glands and neck
Thyroidectomy, parotid surgery with facial nerve monitoring, submandibular gland surgery, sialendoscopy for salivary stones, and removal of congenital neck cysts and swellings.
